Wenmo Shortankard, a halfling known for his love of gambling, found himself in the clutches of the Zhentarim of Phandalin due to his many unpaid debts. The Zhentarim, seizing the opportunity, used Wenmo’s predicament to coerce his older brother, Leohand, into persuading our heroes to undertake the risky task of infiltrating their stronghold at Tresander Manor.
